NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Insulation and Building Treatments

Among the range of construction qualifications that we offer at DMR Training is onsite NVQ assessment in Insulation and Building Treatments. This NVQ is suitable for experienced insulation installers and maintenance professionals who specialise in one or more trades such as internal wall, external wall, cavity wall or loft insulation. The NVQ also helps firms gain access to Eco4-funded work by demonstrating competency for PAS2035.

The drive to decarbonise energy consumption is gathering pace across the UK, and now is an ideal time for sector workers to consider the qualifications they’ll need.

We provide onsite assessment for both NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Insulation and Building Treatments across eight pathways:

Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Insulation and Building Treatments

Level 3 NVQ DIPLOMA in Insulation and Building Treatments

Key Points & Things You Need To Know

  • The Insulation and Building Treatments NVQ is delivered via the onsite assessment route for insulation installers with at least 18 months of experience in their field.
  • It’s a vocational qualification so you’ll need to be in work to enrol on the NVQ.
  • There are no travelling or exams involved: you’ll be observed in your place of work, participate in discussions with your NVQ assessor by telephone or online, and asked to submit work-based evidence via email.
  • It usually takes around 8-12 weeks to achieve the NVQ.
  • On completion, your NVQ certificate demonstrates competency for ECO4 and government-funded retrofit work. You’ll also become eligible to apply for a CSCS blue or gold card.

Funding, Grants & Costs
