NVQ LEVELS 3, 6 & 7 | WORKPLACE ASSESSMENT

Construction Management NVQs

Already working as a site supervisor or construction manager? Turn your years on the tools into a nationally recognised qualification. Our construction management NVQs are assessed on site while you work, with no college required. From the Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision to Level 6 and Level 7 management NVQs.

Management Training Done Your Way

A Construction Management NVQ is a work-based qualification that proves you can run construction sites to a nationally recognised standard. If you’ve spent a few years supervising trades or managing your own jobs, it’s the straightforward route to a black CSCS Manager card and the contracts that actually pay. Sitting at Level 6 and Level 7. Both degree-equivalent Construction Management NVQs are assessed on real site evidence, not coursework, which is exactly why main contractors treat them as proof of competence rather than a course attended

We’ve been doing this since 2013. Our assessors aren’t desk-bound academics. They’re experienced tradespeople who’ve spent decades on the tools themselves. They come to you, watch you do what you already do, and put your portfolio together around your actual day-to-day work.

On-site construction NVQ training and assessment with DMR Training

Construction management course or NVQ?
Which do you need?

A college construction management course teaches beginners the basics in a classroom, often over a year or more. A construction management NVQ is different: it certifies the skills you already use, through on-site assessment while you work, with no college required. If you are already working in the trade, the NVQ is the faster route, and it unlocks the CSCS cards employers ask for. Choose the NVQ Level 6 Construction Management for contracting operations managers or the NVQ Level 7 Construction Senior Management for senior managers.

What are the benefits of gaining a Construction Management NVQ?

A Construction Management NVQ proves your competence to clients, main contractors and CSCS. It unlocks the right card for your level (blue at Level 2, gold at Level 3.)

A qualified DMR assessor with real industry experience, most of our assessors have been on the tools themselves for ten years or more. They visit you onsite, observe the work you’re already doing, and build the evidence around it.

Yep. We’ve supported plenty of learners with dyslexia and other learning differences, and we build the support in from day one, not as an afterthought. The Q&A coursework pack can be handwritten, typed or recorded verbally, whichever works best for you.

CITB-registered employers can claim a grant of £600 for every employee or contractor who completes an NVQ Level 2 to 7. You can find more information on the CITB website.

Government NVQ funding is available for roofers who meet specific criteria. Please get in touch with us to find out if you are eligible for funding or visit our Funding & Grants page.

When you have completed your NVQ portfolio, our internal quality assurance team will check it for compliance. They will then claim your certificate with NOCN. Once we have received your certificate from the awarding body, we will forward it to you by recorded delivery. This process usually takes between two and four weeks.

On your jobs. We deliver across England, so wherever in the country you’re working, your assessor will come to site to observe you and gather evidence. There’s no classroom, no exam hall, and no travel for you

Yes, if you need a CSCS card while you are doing your qualification, you can apply for the Experienced Worker card. You can request this card as soon as we have enrolled you on the NVQ (you will also need to pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test).

To apply for the temporary card, we will email you your proof of enrolment which you must submit to CSCS.

You will then upgrade to the Skilled Worker card once you have finished the qualification.
