We are delighted to share the results of our latest full Ofsted inspection.
DMR Training and Consultancy Limited has met the Expected Standard in every area inspected, with Ofsted also confirming that our safeguarding standards are met.
The inspection took place on 9 June 2026, and the final report was published on 16 July.
It was a thorough and demanding process. Inspectors examined our leadership, governance, teaching, learner support, safeguarding, curriculum and outcomes. They spoke with staff, learners and employers, reviewed our data and observed training taking place.
We are incredibly proud of the result.
The report recognises that DMR understands the construction sector and works closely with employers and other stakeholders to identify genuine skills gaps.
It also highlights our ability to respond to changes within the industry by developing relevant training pathways, including qualifications in areas such as insulation and building treatments.
Inspectors found that our learners-
Most learners were found to make at least the expected progress and complete their qualifications on time.
One of the most important parts of the report is its recognition that our training is relevant to the work learners carry out every day.
Ofsted found that our trainers have strong industry knowledge, provide clear explanations and demonstrations, and help learners apply their new skills directly within the workplace.
The curriculum was also found to be delivered in a logical order, beginning with essential health and safety knowledge before progressing into more specialist areas of construction.
This matters to us.
Our purpose has never been simply to help someone complete paperwork or collect a certificate. We want learners to understand their trade, work safely, demonstrate their competence and use their qualification to move forward.
Many of the people we work with have been in construction for years but have previously faced barriers to gaining a formal qualification.
Some have additional learning needs. Others do not have English as their first language, may lack confidence in a classroom environment or need training to be adapted around their circumstances.
The report recognises the care our trainers take to understand these needs and make learning more accessible. This can include breaking technical information into manageable stages, using assistive technology or allowing learners to demonstrate their knowledge through audio and video evidence.
These adjustments do not lower the standard expected of learners. They give people a fair opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they already use within their work.
An Ofsted inspection does not examine the work of one person or one department. Inspectors look closely at the entire organisation.
This result reflects the work of our senior leadership team, governors, nominees, trainers, assessors, administrators, support staff and external partners. It also reflects the employers who opened their sites to inspectors and, most importantly, the learners who shared their experiences.
David Radley, Chief Executive of DMR Training and Consultancy Limited, said –
“The way everyone pulled together was the part that made me most proud. It was a tiring and challenging week, but the team showed Ofsted exactly who we are, what we do and why we care so much about doing it properly.
“We have achieved an enormous amount during our first three years as a lead provider. This report gives the whole team the recognition they deserve, but it also gives us a clear foundation from which to keep improving.”
The report includes areas for us to strengthen, as every useful inspection should.
These include making sure changes to learner support are reviewed and recorded consistently, further developing the teaching skills of our trainers, embedding high-quality careers guidance throughout the curriculum and continuing to improve outcomes for learners who face additional barriers.
We welcome that challenge.
DMR has grown by listening, learning and responding. We will use the findings to improve our systems, invest further in our staff and make the experience of every learner even stronger.
For now, however, we are taking a moment to recognise what has been achieved.
Take a bow, Team DMR. This one belongs to all of you.
