Green Skills Training For Greater London

We are pleased to announce a significant milestone for DMR Training as we share news of a new government funding contract for green skills training in Greater London.

Under the ‘Jobs and Skills for Londoners’ scheme led by the Mayor of London and the Greater London Authority, DMR Training has been selected to deliver green skills qualifications and training within the region.

The contract marks another step forward in our commitment to delivering quality training and assessment for the green skills sector, and equipping individuals with the expertise and knowledge required to excel in the field of domestic energy efficiency and insulation retrofitting. Through our involvement in ‘Jobs and Skills for Londoners’ we will continue supporting Greater London in building a sustainable future and reaching its Net Zero goals.

Training For Net Zero

DMR Training will deliver a range of comprehensive programs including NVQ assessment in Insulation and Building Treatments for insulation professionals in London – empowering them with the skills and certification needed to drive advancements in sustainable insulation techniques and ensure industry practices are aligned with the latest standards.

In addition to NVQ assessment, we will also deliver specialised classroom-based training courses in ‘Understanding Domestic Retrofit’ and ‘Energy Efficiency and Sustainability’. These courses are designed to equip participants with the tools to enter the retrofit sector and contribute directly to the Mayor’s vision of a greener and more energy-efficient London.

At DMR Training, we believe that investing in green skills training is not just an investment in individuals, but in the collective future of our country and our planet. Building a more sustainable and energy-efficient Britain is an existential challenge, and everyone must do their part.

"We're delighted to have secured the London contract, building upon our established presence in the South East. Over time, we've engaged in both government and privately funded training initiatives, fostering a strong connection with the city. With an extensive client base and a skilled team of assessors and trainers who are not only well-versed in delivering green skills training but are also deeply committed to contributing to the capital's Net Zero aspirations, we're dedicated to training individuals in areas that will have a big impact on addressing green skills gaps. We are fresh off the back of our successful delivery of a BEIS Decarbonisation contract across England, which sees us in pole position to make a big impact in the capital with our strategic approach in identifying skills gaps within the Green Sector and providing the right training and pathways, and giving more people the opportunity to succeed and reach their potential in one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK."
