Construction NVQ funding now available for a limited time only (spring-summer 2019)
Over the coming months, we can access funding for your construction NVQ if you meet certain eligibility criteria, potentially saving you £1000+. This co-funding initiative comes via the European Social Fund and the Education & Skills Funding Agency and is delivered in conjunction with the Skills Support programme and The Growth Company. Fully-funded construction NVQ assessment is a rarity these days so we expect a lot of interest. We recommend you get in touch with us ASAP if you need a construction-related NVQ.
Who is eligible?
Any construction worker who lives or works in Greater Manchester or the Sheffield City Region can apply. You’ll also need at least three years’ experience in your trade to be eligible.
Which trades can you assess?
We assess over 25 different construction trades and qualifications. You can find a full list on our funded-NVQ page.
How much does it cost?
Nothing! Your construction NVQ will be fully-funded with no cost to yourself, other than the time and effort required to complete the qualification (around eight weeks). If you’re taking the NVQ so you can apply for your CSCS Card, the only other costs are the CITB Health & Safety Test (£21) and your CSCS Card (£36). And if you’re a CITB-registered construction employer looking to get your workers (including sub-contractors) qualified and carded, then you can claim a £600 achievement grant from the CITB.
Can I get my CSCS Skilled Worker Card (blue card)?
Yes, but you need to pass the CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test as well as your NVQ before you can apply for your card.
How do I apply for a fully-funded construction NVQ?
All information in this post was correct as of April 2019.
