We’re pleased to announce another Groundwork Apprenticeship vacancy with a landscaping firm based in Croft near Warrington. As a groundwork apprentice, you’ll receive training and on-the-job experience while earning a weekly wage. This position comes with 20 days paid holiday a year.
Groundwork is a vital part of the construction industry and groundworkers are often the first workers on a major building site at the start of a project, and also the last off at the end. Groundwork comprises varied roles and includes tasks such as landscaping, flagging, kerbing, concreting, drainage, surface preparation and building foundations.
This particular vacancy is with a long-established firm that serves the Warrington, St Helens, Leigh and Wigan area. They work on both commercial and domestic construction projects of varying sizes.
To apply for this apprenticeship, you should be keen to work in the construction industry, especially groundwork. You should be punctual, comfortable with early starts and willing to work outside in all weather. A polite, friendly, outgoing personality will definitely help you in this team-based role, as will a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Groundwork is a physically demanding role and you should consider this before applying.
You must be able to travel to Croft for work as well as DMR Training in Leigh where you will train towards your diploma. Start date: July 2018.
