Expanding Our Training Delivery & Centres with ProCo

DMR Training has recently been awarded a sub-contract with training provider ProCo NW Ltd to deliver its construction apprenticeships, traineeships and study programmes from the ProCo training centre in Wigan. This means that DMR now delivers training from two main facilities: the DMR Training Centre in Leigh and the ProCo NW Wigan Skills Centre.

The expansion of our training offer is great news for learners and employers alike, extending the geographical access to quality training and assessment as well as increasing the number of construction trades available at the Wigan Skills Centre – raising the number from 5 to 11!

The DMR Training Centre is a new facility in the centre of Leigh that contains a suite of practical workshop training areas alongside a number of training rooms and classrooms. All training sessions are delivered on the ground floor level, and some practical training delivery takes place in outdoor training areas to replicate industry practice and to create a realistic working environment. All workshops and classrooms are fully equipped with up-to-date tools, materials and equipment to ensure high-quality training provision. The training facilities meet the requirements of the C-Skills Awards and City & Guilds awarding organisations and, as such, the DMR Training Centre holds Accredited Centre status.
